MATTHEW BENNETT (Dr. Hazlett/Reporter) is father to Jansen Bennett, and husband to actress Dorrie Joiner. He performed on Broadway in Blood Brothers and Off-Broadway in Honky-Tonk Highway (Bistro and C.A.B. awards), Marathon Dancing (En Garde Arts), Hysterical Blindness, The Wonderful "O" and five roles in The Fantasticks. His touring credits include Jesus Christ Superstar, The Rocky Horror Show (with Meatloaf), and The Fantasticks (Japan). Mr. Bennett has played leading roles at numerous regional theatres including Actors’ Theater of Louisville, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, George Street Playhouse, Goodspeed-at-Chester, La Jolla Playhouse, and most recently Ford’s Theater, where he played Art Nichols in Elmer Gantry. He graduated from Ithaca College, has sung at Carnegie Hall, and has played left field at Yankee Stadium.
